Dress Information

This is another one that many people have asked me to do a review on so here it is. I have owned this dress in three of the color ways. Pink, black and white. Since the first release of this dress the fabric quality and shape of the dress has improved a lot and is one of the best dresses to buy from the Bodyline company. I would highly recommend this dress and will straight away say that the measurements are quite accurate and do not go smaller or larger than stated. The fabric is very nice with chiffon touches and silk bows. The thing I love the most about this dress is the simplicity of the design, despite simple it is incredibly beautiful and flow very elegantly on the body. This dress has a lot of room for a petticoat and since the fabric is so thick you could wear any shape of petticoat and it wont show through. The image at the top shows me wearing it with a black petticoat and as you can see you can not tell. I would recommend wearing a large bell and cupcake shaped petticoat with this dress as it sits like a Victorian wedding dress aka heavy bottom but flows from the waist.

Despite that this dress is using synthetic lace it is balanced out by the chiffon and does not touch the skin meaning absolutely zero irritation and perfect comfort. The chiffon is beautiful and decorated with tiny little heart. The waist ties are sadly not removable but with a little work you can fashion them into a bow, however one tail may be shorter than the other. The waist bow is removable and is finished off with 6 pretty little pearl. I found these pearls charming but wished they had pearls elsewhere on the dress to balance it out.I spotted that this dress has a few unfinished threads on the bows but nothing a pair of scissors can not fix. The dress has no lining but is still a very charming garment.

Coordination Idea

  Jsk: Bodyline
High Collar Blouse : Bodyline
Wrist Cuffs : Bodyline
Tiara : Custom Made
  Rosary Necklace : Offbrand
Specter : Handmade / Shiro Hime.

I do not think I need to say much on this outfit as it pretty much speaks for itself. This coordinate is very simple but lovely. I wanted to keep this look as shiro as possible whilst still fitting with a hime style aesthetic. Paired with white shoes, gloves, tights and glitter this outfit is fitting for an elegant occasion without breaking the bank.

I think if I was to re-wear this I would wear it with a peignoir or chiffon over skirt to give it that extra magical feel.

 Coordinate Photograph

“Adieu, once again, my children” I hosted a meet up for my local comm with the theme of royalty. For my outfit I decided to do a different take on Marie Antoinette's white gown that she wore on her way to the Guillotine. Instead of the black ribbon she wore upon her head with the cap (she cut off her hair before she died) I decided to go for black hair almost like to keep her well known beauty alive yet kept my skin pale to represent her death. I also incorporated a lot of her religious beliefs and symbolism's into the outfit, jewelry and tiara. This was my first proper attempt at a full white coordinate and it's not too bad ( I am quite happy with this outfit for once ) and there is not really anything I'd change other than my glasses. FYI I can not change my glasses as I am blind without them but I do plan to get some white glasses soon to make coordinating a little easier. Least they match my "rococo style" make up haha~

Hope this review will help answer all questions.

Pleasant dreams~

Coordinate

As stated in my music note jsk review blog post, I said I wanted to try out the coordinate I had created and see how it worked for me. Well this was the result and I frankly find it quite nice but with a few thing's I'd like to tweak. Despite the wind the photo's looks lovely and Tony did a lovely job taking photo's for me the big sweetheart~

Blouse: Fully Shirred ℬodyline 2010
Jsk : Music Note ℬodyline 2010
Belt: Restyle Skeleton Cameo Belt (Damaged/Not fixed yet)
Bag : Musical Bunnies ℬodyline 2013
Shoes : Punk ℬodyline SHOES258 2012

Crosses necklace/choker : Extreme Largeness
Skeleton Hand Clip's : Offbrand
Headbow :  ℬodyline L445 Headbow (I altered to not be horrid)

I found when wearing the jsk it was a little too big and since it was quite high waist-ted I felt for my body type and height that it did not work without a belt or corset. Since at this moment in time I have no access to a corset I used this belt to pull in in dress at the waist to give the illusion of a non-high waist jsk. I felt it was not too bad a look but this dress makes me boobs look rather big and for me when it comes to lolita fashion I prefer to try and avoid that.

The white shoes were a good choice (apart from the straps constantly falling down, I must remind myself to tighten them next time) as they stand out awesomely against the black sheer tights. I could have worn my black version of these heels but they did not have the same impact as these white ones do.

The headbow I altered from Bodyline seemed to fit this outfit like a glove. It was a nice hint of old school with a twist of modern. I adore the little skeleton clip's, of course they are not for everybody but for me they are mega cute and I found they aided to the death part of this coordinate and helped tie the belt into the outfit. The Belt, still damaged, was a nice asset but needs a lot of work before it looks 100%.

I did do a fault when it came to my make up and did not spot it until after the photo's were taken. Me and my boyfriend, Tony, were meeting up with friends to go to a funfair event called the Hopping's and we were meant to meet friends at 3:30 in the afternoon to go on ride's, eat cotton candy, go for a walk, etc.. but in my rush to quickly finish this outfit for photo's I did not put my eyelashes on properly. As you can tell from the photo's my lashes are on so weirdly and almost look like any moment they would fall off.

I was so disappointed in this when I saw the photo's but sometimes these things happen. I also had another problem with my petticoat thanks to my cat's. I own three cat's to be exact, Tifa (Female, 8) Zack (male, 7.5) and Yuffie (Female, 3) and whilst we were having these photo's taken Tifa came over and kept rubbing my leg's and wanting some love, luckily Tony distracted her but she got fur all over my leg. So in bending over my petticoat stuck out a bit in the last few photo's after she went to Tony. I also think the sheer tights are nice but I personally prefer opaque.

All in all,
I really do like this outfit but due to the high waist style of the dress I think if I ever was to wear it again it would be with a steel under bust corset or waist cincher. I am happy I tried the outfit as I thoroughly enjoyed it, I have found that I have a hobby for making "different" or "unusual" style coordinates, I think it's because I find conventional coordinates are a bit boring for me and prefer to go a bit more over the top with themes and style just like Takulu does.

Really happy with the result,

† Coordination Show Case 2 †

Coordination Show Case

Since I have left the look of sweet lolita to follow things I enjoy more I have started to build a collection of coordinate photo's and outfit's.

Coordination Rundown
"Quoth the Raven"

Blouse: ℬodyline, Fully Shirred with detachable Sleeves
Jsk : Raven, Lost Lenore Layered
Rocking Horse Shoes : ℬodyline
Tiara : Alchemy Gothic, Claddagh Red Heart Crown
Silver Spiked Collar : Punk Rave
Opaque tights : Primark
Black Ankle Socks: Primark
Theme
This Gothic outfit was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's, The Raven. The character in the poem known as Lenore is described to have large hair and a look of love in her face which played a bit part in these outfit photo's. Also to reprisent the pail face of Lenore, aka, the sign of death, I used a very soft white foundation to mimic the type of make up used on dead bodies when presented at an open funeral. A creepy concept but I find it very beautiful as it aides those who have passed to look more alive in an open casket.
"He thinks for a moment in silence, and his mind wanders back to his lost Lenore. He thinks the air grows denser and feels the presence of angels, and wonders if God is sending him a sign that he is to forget Lenore"
For this outfit I would have preferred to have worn boots, however it was a nice day and a shame to waste a chance to wear in my RHS out and since they match choker so well I decided to stick with it.

Coordination Rundown
"Dreaming of BTSSB"

Blouse: ℬodyline, Fully Shirred with detachable Sleeves
Jsk : ℬodyline, Layered and Laced JSK l348
Bowed Velvet Flats : Primark
Headbows : Handmade
Opaque tights : Primark
Black Ankle Socks: Primark
Polkadot Parasol : Primark
Theme

This very basic coordinate was worn for a very beautiful day (Oddly I almost look tan in these photos with the gray background). I've rediscovered my love for old school gothic lolita and in doing so have fallen in love with this bodyline jsk. It is comfortable, beautiful with cotton lace and front and back shirring. The only problem with this jsk is it takes some adjusting to balance the front and back shirring for a perfect fit without making the ribbon looking odd. My next buy will be this in black, it truly is beautiful. At the time this JSK was worn out I was still waiting for my headbows to arrive so I improvised and made 2 small black bows and luckily for me they turned out not so bad since they were made 15 minutes before leaving the house. The title name is due to the jsk. It has a very BTSSB sort of style to it and at the time this photo was taken I was just starting to re-build my lolita wardrobe after selling all of the sweet lolita stuff I owned.

Coordination Rundown
"UN-Easter Bunny"

Blouse: ℬodyline, Laced Cutsew with neck ties
Jsk : ℬodyline, Stripped Hime JSK
Black Lace Bunny Ears : Handmade
Opaque tights : Primark
Shoes : Love Lable, Dainty Ribbon Heels
Bag : Sugar Skull Bag (Forgot Brand)
Theme
This outfit was through together last minute actually for Easter as I was really ill at the timeand frankly wanted to stay in bed, feeling sorry for myself whilst my boyfriend would cuddle me in the mist of Disney movies but alas that did not happen and I ventured with family to my brother's house where my beloved took photo's of my outfit despite my ick. I had made the headdress/bunny ears the night before and had only just received the jsk a few day's earlier but every time I bent over I felt I had mega boob loaf and had the shirring ribbon way too tight thanks to my not really paying attention to the world feelings. I think this has been the first Easter where the idea of eating chocolate made me want to dive bomb into the bathroom and vomit out my intestines. Lovely image.
Coordination Rundown
"I Like Warm Hugs"

Blouse: ℬodyline, Fully Shirred with Detachable sleeves
Jsk : ℬodyline, Chiffon Hime
Hair Clips : Offbrand,Snows flakes
Opaque tights : Primark
Shoes : odyline, Platform Gothic Heels
Crystal Necklace : Family heirloom
Theme
Originally I wanted to do a unicorn theme with this jsk but felt I would save that for another time when I could get more elaborate accessories, a white wig, a tone of glitter and a veil so instead I took some inspiration from one of my favorite films...FROZEN. No not Elsa, nothing to do with that instead this outfit was based of the loveable character who loves warm hugs, Olaf! I would have also worn a white wig but I felt this would have taken away from the details of the snowflakes. My main regret is not wearing white foundation, I feel it would have made it perfect as the orange eyeshadow (to represent the carrot) did not stand out well against my skin.
The weather was unforgiving, despite the blood sun and blooming nature it was windy as hell and proved extremely hard for photo's to be taken.

I met up with my friend Kiki for a frilly day with our men, the day was a boiling hot day and in the coordinate I was originally wearing I was near dying from heat stroke so Kiki had recently purchased this JSK fromodyline and offered that I try it on and wear it until the weather cool's down. I personally love the shape of this jsk, in the photo on the odyline website it looked very odd but in person it is quite lovely and very comfortable. Also if you are wanting this JSK know that the print truly is peach/gold not pink/gold like the photo shows on the website~

Coordination Rundown
"Of Little Faith"

Blouse: ℬodyline, Fully Shirred
Bolero:
ℬodyline,Wool with ruffle
Jsk : ℬodyline,Black Layered JSK L489
Headdress : ℬodyline, Rose and cotton lace Round headdress
Opaque tights : Primark
Shoes : odyline, Platform Gothic Heels
Cross Necklace: Primark
Theme

This coordinate was inspired by stereotypical Gothic Lolita Fashion with an old school element/ This day was hot as hell and as stated in the prior coordinate I did switch it for a less layered outfit as this dress is not only very heavy but is thick, so in the hot sun I was sweating like crazy.
This jsk is absolutely amazing and soon I plain to buy the red and even the blue, which for me is very odd since I wear blue once in a blue moon (terrible joke)
Looking forward to more coordination photo's,

My Decoden Case

★My Decoden Case★

★Pic's and swag★

For a very VERY long time now, I've enjoyed deco things. From nails to phone, and even houses, I have kept up this hobby making thing's and even decoating furntiure, but thats a story for another time.

This case and selection of photographs of my swag, display a huge project I am working on, this will be more for personal use but if I ever feel like selling on it'll jsut be to sell to buy more things to make more things, oh how I love hobbies.

 Oreo's vs Butterlies and Silver

 Roses vs Combs

Pearl shade and Shaped buttons vs Tasty nomnom's

 Ponies vs Pearls

Hearts and Bows vs Hello Kitty

Tasty noms and little Shapes vs Bears and Butterflies

Pearlescent Pealrs and Beeds vs Plastic and Wooden Stars

Multi Styled Beed's vs Tasy Noms and Cake

I can happily say I really love all these little trinket's, not only are they fun to collect but they are nice to look at, espcially when they are all together like this, and to prove these are infact my collection I took a derpy photo of myself, half asleep, holding them like some insain fangirl of cute things
